These parts were found in September, 2005 upon a return trip to the farm, under a garage in the crawl space. They had been separated from the bicycle sometime in the 1920s, and were put in a box which eventually made its way to the crawl space. These photos were taken shortly thereafter with minimal or no cleaning.

Below is the original coaster brake arm with shoes that were spread by the actuator lever (shown in bottom photo as it would have been positioned in use). The brake was manufactured by Pope Manufacturing Co. With some clean up and oiling, the shoes still spread. The actuator (oily piece in picture 4 below) was beyond repair, so we remanufactured this piece. (See ABC Brake)
